Our Founder

Who is Mustafa Tutkun

 

 

Mustafa Tutkun was born in 1972 in Çanakkale Biga. He completed his primary and secondary education in Çanakkale.

​

After graduating from Çanakkale Imam Hatip High School in 1990, he studied at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Architecture for 3 years. Later, he left this department and completed the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the International Islamic University of Malaysia.

​

In 1999, he went to Kosovo and carried out the work of a non-governmental organization in Kosovo, Macedonia, and Albania for 4 years. Between 2003 and 2005, he undertook the establishment of Bizim Bahçe magazine, which published on character education in children.

​

He served as the International Relations Manager of the Lighthouse Association between 2005-2010 and as the Director General of Doctors Worldwide between 2010-2011.

​

During this period, he visited more than 80 countries and took part in the implementation of disaster, relief and development projects in 143 countries, and organized many international meetings and conferences. He wrote articles and columns in various publications.

​

He served as the Deputy General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation between 2011-2016 and as the General Manager between 2016-2018.

Co-Founder

Afterwards, he ended his professional life as Director General responsible for Strategy, Corporate Development and Information Technologies, Business Development and R&D at Türk Kızılay (Turkish Red Crescent) in April 2022 and started to convey his 23 years of experience with the consultancy services to different non-governmental organizations.

​

During this period, he visited more than 80 countries and took part in the implementation of disaster, relief and development projects in 143 countries, and organized many international meetings and conferences. He wrote articles and columns in various publications.

​

In 2007, he participated in the "NGO Management Applied Training Program" organized by the US State Department for the administrators of some global aid organizations. Again in 2012, he completed the NOHA Humanitarian Action master program, which was initiated by the joint initiative of 26 universities, 12 of which were in Europe.

 

Mustafa Tutkun, who is married, father of 3 children and grandfather of one grandchild, speaks fluent English and Arabic, as well as intermediate Malay and Albanian.
